Smoky Mont Blanc quartz with a very unusual formation! This elongated beauty is double terminated (natural points on both ends) along with stunning striations on nearly every face. The underside may be it's most special quality because it has very well formed self healing. The shape makes it ideal for resting in the palm of your hand with the self healed side against your skin. Chlorite inclusions can also be seen on the self healed side. A nice dark smoky color for the region.
Sourced at the Sainte Marie Aux Mines Gem Show in France this summer. Mont-Blanc quartz is found by skilled rock climbers near Chamonix, France at high elevations on the Mont-Blanc Massif mountain range.
