Purple Balmat calcite with breathtaking mini dogtooth formations on the front face. This crystal is double terminated with subtle purple phantoms that can be seen along the sides. The color of this piece is classic and unique to this locality. In some lighting it looks more purple and in others it looks more pink. The sparkles near the top point are internal micro pyrite. The mine has not produced any new calcite since 2024. Comes with the custom acrylic stand pictured. On the front of the stand it says "Calcite, Empire State Zinc Mine, Balmat, St. Lawrence County, New York"
