From high up on Argentiere Glacier, Mont Blanc, France, this pristine naturally double terminated quartz is a very special specimen. One side is fully self healed and the other has beautiful etchings with the faintest dusting of chlorite. 100% unpolished.
Found by a small group of "crystalliers" from Chamonix, France. They embark on week long journeys into the Mont Blanc massif mountain range in the French Alps. Highly skilled rock climbers, they are seasoned crystal hunters as well. Mechanical equipment and explosives are forbidden in this area of the French Alps. Everything is brought down by hand!
