Sweet cluster of smoky quartz perched on top of matrix with chlorite and adularia (sits just as its held). The terminations are stunning with a slight dusting of chlorite. Completely unpolished.
Found by a small group of "crystalliers" from Chamonix, France. They embark on week long journeys into the Mont Blanc massif mountain range in the French Alps. Highly skilled rock climbers, they are seasoned crystal hunters as well. Mechanical equipment and explosives are forbidden in this area of the French Alps. Everything is brought down by hand!
